Eames Lounge Chair replica assembly

What is included?

The 2 boxes that are delivered to your home contain all the parts you need to assembly your Eames Lounge Chair. Before you start assembling, check whether the package is complete. If any parts are missing, please contact us.

Assembly Ottoman

1. Assembly of Ottoman base

To protect your Lounge Chair against scratches and other damage during assembly, we recommend placing the packaging material on the floor as a surface to work on. 

Take the cushion from the Ottoman and place it upside down on the floor. You can now place part E on the inverted cushion and attach it using the washers (T) and screws (P). You will receive an Allen key for this (R), with which you can tighten the screws. When tightening, make sure that you tighten all screws gradually and alternately. Make sure to not tighten them completely 1 by 1.

2. Montage Ottoman

To finish the Ottoman, slide the leg (B) around the cylinder of part E.

Assembly of the chair

1. Seat + backrest

First, the backrest L and the seat K must be attached to each other. You do this by attaching the attachment on the backrest to the seat with the screws (O).

Identify which side of the seat should face the backrest. The side with the least space between the end of the seat and the screw holes should face the backrest.

2. Leuningen

When the seat and backrest are attached, the armrests can be placed on the seat. You can attach and tighten them from the bottom up with screws (Q).

3. Chair leg

To complete the Eames Lounge Chair, the leg of the chair needs to be assembled.

Do you have this chrome look leg? Then first place the aluminum rotating ring (U) on the column.

Then screw the column into the 5-point base (A).

After this you can place the base of the seat on the leg (see step 4).

Step 4 Leg + seat

To make it as easy as possible, we recommend turning the chair on its’ side during this step. Make sure that you do not damage the chair. If necessary, place a rug or any other soft/protective material under the seat.

You can then screw the leg in its entirety onto the bottom of the chair. Make sure that the four washers (T) are placed between the base and the seat before you place and tighten the screws (P).

Finally, place and attach parts I + J around the chair leg with the screw and Allen key.
