Mechanics

The mechanism of this Eames office chair is fully adjustable, so you can perfectly optimize the chair to your preferred position. To further support that, the chair comes with a solid 5-star base equipped with either chromed steel casters or fixed glides. Under the seat you will find a rotary knob to smoothly adjust the tilt and spring mechanism. If desired, you can also block the tilt/spring mechanism so that the seat can be locked. To adjust the height, simply pull the gas lift height adjustment handle underneath the seat. You can opt for either semi-soft castors (suitable for low-pile carpet and most types of laminate) or soft casters (suitable for concrete/cast floors, wood, laminate and PVC).
